Our D2G Newsletter is Getting an Upgrade

This week’s Newsletter is brought to you by:

The Linkedin Impact Accelerator

A fun, simple group program designed to help you unlock LinkedIn’s potential for growth by embracing your authentic voice, building genuine connections, and positioning yourself as a thought leader—without the fluff or inauthentic tactics.

Our D2G Community Newsletter is getting a spicy little makeover!

Why? Because I’m revamping it right alongside our Newsletter Growth group here in the community. (Yes, we’re walking the talk. )

Here’s the scoop:
Each week, you’ll get one quick, no-fluff strategy in three minutes or less you can actually use that day to grow your business. Think of it like a shot of espresso for your inbox—short, sharp, and packed with value.

Now, if you’re thinking, “Meh, not for me,” I’ll be super sad (cue dramatic music ), but I totally get it. No hard feelings! Just unsubscribe at the bottom of this email.

BUT… if you stick with me, I promise to bring my A-game and make this the most actionable, growth-focused newsletter in your inbox.

See today’s issues below.

Trust Your Gut (Because It Knows What’s Up)

The other day, I did something I’ll happily put in the “never again” folder:
I followed advice that didn’t sit right with me.

Spoiler alert—it didn’t just cost me money.
It drained my time, energy, and that precious sense of direction we all cling to when things get messy.

Looking back, here’s the hard truth:
Every time I’ve ignored my gut, I’ve paid for it twice.

Once in lackluster results.
And again when I kicked myself for not trusting the part of me that knew better.

The Problem with “Proven Formulas”

When I reflect on my biggest business blunders, one thing sticks out:
I bought into someone else’s “foolproof” method, even though it didn’t sit well.

That “high-converting” landing page from a conversion expert?
Didn’t feel right—and yep, it bombed.

The “killer” content strategy from an influencer with a million followers?
Felt off—and it flopped.

Every single time, I ignored that little voice saying, “Are you sure about this?”

Why did I ignore it?
Because it’s so easy to think, “If it worked for them, it’ll work for me!”

But here’s a secret:
Strategies don’t always transfer. But principles? Oh, they absolutely do.

When Your Gut Talks, Listen

Think about a time you followed advice that didn’t quite fit.

Maybe you changed your pricing because “that’s what everyone in the industry charges.”
Maybe you restructured your offer because a successful friend said, “This is how I did it.”

If you’re honest, you probably felt that little pang of “Hmm…this doesn’t feel right.”

But hey, it’s hard to ignore advice wrapped in confidence, case studies, and a shiny success story.

Here’s the Real Deal

Your instincts aren’t some random hunch.
They’re the result of all your experiences, lessons learned, and deep knowledge of the people you serve.

More often than not, those instincts are worth more than someone else’s advice—no matter how polished or popular it looks.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned?
It’s better to be wrong while trusting myself than to be “right” by following someone else’s blueprint.

Next Time You’re Tempted, Ask Yourself:

  • Does this actually feel right for me and my business?

  • Does it align with what I know my audience needs?

  • Am I doing this because it’s right for me, or because someone else said it should be?

And if you feel even the slightest hesitation, don’t brush it off.

That’s not imposter syndrome—that’s your experience, gently (or maybe loudly) trying to get your attention.

Bottom Line?

Your intuition is a superpower. Use it.

Now, go out there and trust yourself.
You’ve got this. 😉
